Sandstone Management was founded by Ron Van Vleet with only $1,250 and a single Case rubber-tired backhoe in 1984. Ron built the foundations of the company on a reputation of integrity, hard work, and dedication. Ron’s grandson, Brandon Van Vleet, has been involved with the business since a young age—from as early as the age of 5, Brandon could be found operating a variety of heavy equipment and learning the skills necessary to work alongside his grandfather.

On January 1, 2011, Brandon took over ownership of Sandstone Management. Since then, the company has grown into one of Central Iowa’s most premier site development contractors. Sandstone Management continues to see growth through utilizing highly skilled employees, advanced technologies, and leading edge equipment. Even though Sandstone Management has witnessed large-scale expansions, our core values that we were founded on remain our primary focus.
